The Price
I was happy with the price of this 50cc scooter. Honda has a great financing program, but the this 50cc scooter wasn't that expensive so I chose to pay cash since I purchased this scooter to save money on my monthly bills. The MSRP starts at $2,049.
Accessories
For a simple 50cc scooter this Honda has some great accessories. For a little extra space a would recommend the cargo net. It one of the cheapest accessory and provide some easy to access storage. It attaches to the inside panel by where your feet are. Another great one for this 50cc scooter is the extended chrome rack for the back. This is one of the more expensive ones but if you need to strap a bag (or if you don't mind getting made fun of, a milk crate). This can double your storage. Another mentionable accessory is the front windshield.
Monthy Costs
The whole reason a bought my 50cc scooter is to lower my monthly costs. I parked my minivan in the garage and take my scooter whenever I can. My scooter get around 90mpg and I only have to fill up twice a month. With a 1.3 gallon tank it only cost me about $4 to fill up. The only other monthly cost is the insurance, I am 25 and a have a great driving record so I only pay $7 a month. So every month I only pay $15 to drive my 50cc scooter. Also before I put it away for the winter I take it to my Honda dealer and they change the oil and check everything over and get it ready for next year. This only cost me $30.
So buying a 50cc scooter was a great purchase for me. I would recommend a Honda Metropolitan to anyone.

If I lived in a city right now I'd definitely be riding one of these.
Yeah owning one in a city really makes sense. Right now I have a bike, but getting one of these would be nice. We'll see when my next paycheck comes in. :)

Ooo good hub. This is what hubs should be like.
I am thinking about getting a scooter of some sort here in Japan and this has given me some ideas of what to look for. I may end up actually getting one of these.
Have you owned any other scooters?
